Journal Descriptions
In Situ Archaeologica is a peer-reviewed scholarly archaeological journal publishing articles and discussions in Scandinavian languages and in English*. Subjects relevant to In Situ Archaeologica range from Stone Age to contemporary archeology, and theoretical, methodological, and empirical studies are published in the journal. The journal also publishes thematic issues containing several articles, which can include results and analyses from contract archeological projects or seminars, workshops, conferences, etc. In Situ Archaeologica does not review literature or publish debates, but the journal does organize discussion sections. These are self-initiated, the result of external proposals to the editorial staff or based on specific suggested articles sent to the journal.
