In the IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, the IEEE Control Systems Society publishes papers on the theoretical foundations of automatic control. Two types of contributions are considered: 1) full papers — presentation of significant methodological research, either theoretical and/or application-motivated; and 2) technical notes — brief notes on established topics, technical results, and corrections to articles published in the Transactions. Tutorials, surveys, and perspectives on the theory of automatic control may also be considered.
