Journal Descriptions

Ibsen Studies is the only international journal devoted to Henrik Ibsen, his works, and their global impact, and is therefore the central publication venue for world-leading Ibsen scholarship. The journal accepts high quality contributions from the field of literary studies, theatre studies, performance studies, history, and other adjacent humanities disciplines; it also solicits relevant experts to write reviews of significant Ibsen-related scholarship. The current journal has evolved from previous publications started in the 1950s, Ibsenårbok (Ibsen Annual) and Contemporary Approaches to Ibsen. Today, the journal is published biannually in co-operation with the University of Oslo´s Centre for Ibsen Studies.
