History of Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals (HPP)

History of Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals publishes original scholarly articles about the history of pharmacy and pharmaceuticals, broadly defined, including (but not limited to) the history of: pharmacy practice, pharmacy science, pharmacy education, drug regulation, social and cultural aspects of drugs and medicines, the pharmaceutical industry—including the history of pharmaceuticals, drugs, and therapeutics—and facets of the related medical sciences. Starting in 2021, History of Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals (HoPP) (ISSN 2694-3034, eISSN 2694-3042), an academic, peer-reviewed semi-annual journal (published in the Spring and the Fall), will be the official publication of the American Institute of the History of Pharmacy. AIHP is the editorial home, and the Institute partners with the University of Wisconsin Press to publish History of Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals. History of Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals publishes original scholarly articles about the history of pharmacy and pharmaceuticals, broadly defined, including (but not limited to) the history of: pharmacy practice, pharmacy science, pharmacy education, drug regulation, social and cultural aspects of drugs and medicines, the pharmaceutical industry—including the history of pharmaceuticals, drugs, and therapeutics—and facets of the related medical sciences. All AIHP Individual members receive a subscription to History of Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals for both print and digital editions of each issue. AIHP individual members who provide us with their email address will also receive complimentary access to the History of Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals / Pharmacy in History JSTOR archive.
