Journal Descriptions
Heimen is the main Norwegian journal for research in local and regional history. The journal is aimed both at researchers in this field and general readers with an interest in local and regional history. The journal publishes studies of local communities or phenomena that can shed light on broader areas and questions. Through articles, debate and book reviews, the journal seek to present contributions from all over Norway, but is also open for relevant international contributions. Heimen has been the main forum for The National Assosiation for Local History since 1922, and is aimed at historians, humanists and sociologists, students, history teachers and general readers interested in history. The journal is published by Scandinavian University Press on behalf of The National Assosiation for Local History and with the support of Nasjonalt tidsskriftkonsortium for humaniora og samfunnsvitenskap.
