Hämostaseologie (Hämostaseologie)
Journal Descriptions
Hämostaseologie – Progress in Haemostasis is a specialized peer-reviewed scientific journal covering the broad field of thrombosis, haemostasis, and vascular medicine, with a focus on both basic science and clinical research. As the official journal of the German, Austrian, and Swiss Society for Thrombosis and Haemostasis Research (GTH e.V.), it publishes high-quality state-of-the-art reviews, original scientific communications, clinical case studies, guideline and position papers from GTH working groups, expert commentaries, and “images in thrombosis & haemostasis” sections. Its interdisciplinary scope addresses congenital and acquired bleeding disorders, thromboembolic diseases, coagulation mechanisms, diagnostics, treatment strategies, and preventive approaches. The journal serves clinicians, physician-scientists, laboratory researchers, and educators interested in the mechanisms and management of haemostatic and thrombotic disorders, bridging translational research with clinical application. Many issues include contributions from plenary sessions at the Annual GTH Meeting and invited expert updates on emerging topics in haemostasis and vascular health. Hämostaseologie is indexed in major databases such as MEDLINE/PubMed, SCOPUS, EMBASE, Web of Science (SCI/SCIE), ProQuest, and others, ensuring wide global visibility and scientific impact, and supports both traditional and open-access publishing models.
