Guerres mondiales et conflits contemporains (GMCC)
Journal Descriptions
From 1950 to 1986, the Revue d'histoire de la Deuxième Guerre mondiale published 144 issues on the origins of the conflict, the policies, strategies and battles waged by the states, alone or allied, and by the peoples at war. Studies and testimonies came from authors in every country. This international dimension is confirmed by the extension, since 1987 (no. 145), of the field of research covered by the magazine under its new title "World Wars and Contemporary Conflicts", both before and after the Second World War. From 1992 to 1996, one issue a year (nos. 167, 171, 175, 179, 183) was devoted entirely to the First World War, in agreement with the Historial de la Grande Guerre (Péronne) research center, which was responsible for its preparation. Each issue includes a thematic dossier, followed by a series of articles and bibliographical reviews.
