An International Journal of Information Technology Management, Policies, and Practices Government Information Quarterly is an international journal that examines the intersection of policy, information technology, government, and the public. In particular, GIQ focuses on how policies affect government information flows and the availability of government information; the use of technology to create and provide innovative government services; the impact of information technology on the relationship between the governed and those governing; and the increasing significance of information policies and information technology in relation to democratic practices. As the leading journal in the field, Government Information Quarterly seeks to publish high quality scholarly research, viewpoint articles and editorials that inform both researchers and practitioners regarding the relationship between policy, information technology, government, and the public. The journal seeks submissions drawn from a variety of disciplines, including but not limited to information science, public policy, public administration, political science, business, law, geography, information systems, communications, economics, sociology, computer science, and public health.
