Journal Descriptions

Global Geology is an influential academic journal in geosciences (ISSN 1673-9736; CN 22-1371/P), which was established by the Division of Geoscience, Jilin University (the former Changchun University of Science and Technology) in 1998. It is sponsored by the International Center for Geoscience Research and Education in Northeast Asia, Jilin University. The journal was named as Journal of Geoscientific Research in Northeast Asia (1998-2005). It was published semi-annually before 2008, and has been changed to quarterly journal since then. Global Geology mainly reports recent research achievements in geosciences including physical geology, economic and applied geology. It aims to follow the geoscientific developing frontier, to report up-to-date discoveries, new theories and new achievements over the world in time and to spread qualified techniques and methods for geoscientists in the world. The journal of Global Geology (English Edition) sponsored by the International Center of Geoscience Research and Education in Northeast Asia, Jilin University of China. The former name of the journal was the Journal of International Geoscientific Research in Northeast Asia. It was started in 1998 and served the scientists and teachers in geosciences in the world. The Editorial Board is composed of 42 scientists from various countries in the world including China, German, Japan, Korea, Russia, the UK and USA.
