Gesnerus ist das offizielle Organ der Schweizerischen Gesellschaft für Geschichte der Medizin und der Naturwissenschaften (SGGMN). Die Zeitschrift publiziert Originalartikel, Kurzmitteilungen und Dokumente zu verschiedenen Epochen und Aspekten der Medizin- und Wissenschaftsgeschichte und berücksichtigt auch die theoretischen und sozialen Fragen des Faches. Gesnerus enthält ferner Mitteilungen und Anzeigen über Neuigkeiten und Aktivitäten auf dem Fachgebiet. Ein ausführlicher Rezensionsteil orientiert über Neuerscheinungen. Publikationssprachen sind Deutsch, Französisch, Italienisch und Englisch. Gesnerus is the official journal of the Swiss Society for the History of Medicine and Sciences (SSHMS). It publishes original articles, short communications and documents on different periods and aspects of the history of medicine and sciences and also focuses on theoretical and social aspects of this subject. Gesnerus likewise contains reports and announcements concerning new developments and activities in its field. A full book review section keeps readers informed of new publications. The languages of publication are German, French, Italian and English. Gesnerus est l’organe officiel de la Société Suisse d’Histoire de la Médecine et des Sciences Naturelles (SSHMSN). Le journal publie des articles originaux, des communications brèves et des documents sur les différents aspects et périodes de l’histoire de la médecine et des sciences naturelles, et traite également des questions théoriques et sociales relatives à ce domaine. Gesnerus contient d’autre part des comptes rendus et annonces sur les développements et activités de la discipline. Une section détaillée renseigne les lecteurs/trices sur les nouvelles publications. Les langues d’édition sont l’allemand, le français, l’italien et l’anglais.
