Geotechnical and Geological Engineering (GGE)
Journal Descriptions
Geotechnical and Geological Engineering is a peer-reviewed international journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research and case studies in the fields of geotechnical engineering and engineering geology. The journal serves as a platform for disseminating innovative solutions and advancements that address complex challenges in soil and rock engineering, as well as the geological aspects pertinent to civil engineering, geo-energy, and environmental projects. It covers research ranging from fundamental studies to cutting-edge technologies, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the discipline. The journal welcomes original research papers, review articles, and technical notes in, but not limited to, the following areas: • Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering: Exploration of soil behavior, foundation design, ground improvement techniques, stability analyses of earth structures, energy geotechnics, and applications in cold regions geotechnics. Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering: Studies on the mechanical properties of rock masses, design and analysis of tunnels, slopes, wellbores, foundations, and underground excavations. Engineering Geology and Site Characterization: Investigations into geological conditions affecting engineering projects, including geomorphology, stratigraphy, structural geology, hydrogeology, and advanced site investigation methods. Geohazards and Mitigation: Research on natural hazards such as landslides, earthquakes, and ground subsidence, along with strategies for risk assessment and mitigation.
