GeoArabia (GeoArabia)
Journal Descriptions
GeoArabia is a peer-reviewed international journal dedicated to research in petroleum geoscience and geological studies related to hydrocarbon exploration. Established in 1996, the journal is published by Gulf PetroLink and is widely recognized as an important scientific platform for geoscientists working in the Middle East and other petroleum-rich regions of the world. The journal publishes four issues per year and features original research articles, review papers, and technical studies related to sedimentary basins, stratigraphy, structural geology, and reservoir characterization. Its scope emphasizes geological and geophysical research related to hydrocarbon systems, including petroleum exploration, basin evolution, tectonics, and sedimentology. Many of the published studies focus on the geology of the Arabian Plate and surrounding regions, which contain some of the world’s largest oil and gas reserves. GeoArabia encourages interdisciplinary research that integrates geological, geophysical, and geochemical techniques to better understand petroleum systems and reservoir development. The journal also publishes special thematic issues highlighting regional geological studies and emerging exploration technologies. Through rigorous peer review and strong editorial standards, the journal contributes to the advancement of scientific knowledge in petroleum geology and supports professionals working in energy exploration and resource development worldwide.
