The journal covers all literatures , poetics , and writings , both polymorphous and polyphonic, in the French language. Its mission is to be a shared laboratory within which diverse literatures, while preserving their identities and particularities , can dialogue and recognize one another. Two principles guide it: freedom in the choice of interpretative methods and scientific seriousness, in a critical perspective that welcomes and encourages interdisciplinary contributions. A biannual publication, founded in 1981 by Liano Petroni. The journal deals with all forms of literature, poetics and writings, polymorphic and polyphonic, in the French language. Its vocation is that of a common laboratory where different forms of literature can converse and recognize themselves without losing their own identity and particularity. It is based on two fundamental principles: freedom in the choice of interpretative methods and scientific reliability, in a critical perspective that welcomes and encourages contributions with interdisciplinary characteristics. "Francofonia" is a biannual literary journal published with the support of the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures of the University of Bologna. It is dedicated to European and non-European literatures expressed in French. It is guided by two principles: freedom in the choice of interpretative methods and scholarly integrity, in a critical perspective that welcomes and even encourages interdisciplinary contributions.
