Forum navale is the journal of the Swedish Society for Maritime History. The journal’s aim is to contribute to the field of maritime history, especially Swedish, in all maritime-related matters. The journal’s target readership is researchers and the interested public. Forum navale accepts scientific articles, which are subject to double-blind peer review, as well as popular science articles. It also features book reviews of recent books within the scope of the journal, as well as commentaries on maritime art, documents, symbols and artifacts. Articles, reviews, and commentaries for publication in Forum navale should be written in Swedish or English. Forum navale is classified as a level 1 journal according to the Norwegian Register.
