Food and Humanity (FH)
Journal Descriptions
Food and Humanity is an interdisciplinary peer reviewed journal that examines the connections between food systems and human wellbeing from scientific, social, and humanities based perspectives. The journal publishes original research articles, reviews, and short communications addressing global challenges related to food production, distribution, and consumption. Its scope includes food security and nutrition, sustainable agriculture, environmental impacts of food systems, food policy and governance, cultural and historical dimensions of food, and ethical issues surrounding food technologies. Emphasis is placed on research that integrates multiple disciplines, linking natural sciences such as food science and nutrition with social sciences including economics, sociology, and public policy. The journal also highlights innovation in agri food systems, resilience to climate change, and strategies for reducing inequalities in access to safe and nutritious food. By providing a platform for cross disciplinary dialogue, Food and Humanity aims to support evidence based decision making and promote sustainable, inclusive, and healthy food systems worldwide. The journal is intended for academics, policy makers, and professionals working in food science, public health, environmental studies, development studies, and related fields.
