Extracellular Vesicle (EV)
Journal Descriptions
Extracellular Vesicle is an international, peer-reviewed, fully open-access scientific journal and the official journal of the American Association of Extracellular Vesicles (AAEV). Established in 2022, the journal provides a multidisciplinary platform for publishing innovative research on extracellular vesicles (EVs), including exosomes, microvesicles, and other membrane-bound particles involved in intercellular communication. The journal welcomes original research articles, reviews, methodological papers, commentaries, and translational studies covering fundamental, clinical, and industrial aspects of extracellular vesicle science. Its scope includes extracellular vesicle biogenesis, cargo loading, molecular signaling, disease biomarkers, therapeutic applications, regenerative medicine, drug delivery systems, tissue engineering, cancer biology, immunology, and nanomedicine. The journal also encourages studies that bridge academic research and commercial development of EV-based technologies and products. As a fully open-access publication, all articles are freely accessible worldwide, promoting rapid dissemination of scientific discoveries. The journal follows a rigorous anonymous peer-review process and is indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). Under the editorial leadership of Ke Cheng, Extracellular Vesicle aims to accelerate advances in extracellular vesicle research and foster collaboration among scientists, clinicians, and industry professionals working in this rapidly growing field.
