Journal Descriptions

The aim of European Urology Focus (EU Focus) is to encompass the whole spectrum of urology. The journal publishes papers on a wide range of urological issues such as oncology, functional urology, reconstructive urology, laparoscopy, robotic surgery, endourology, female urology, andrology, paediatric urology and sexual medicine. The editorial team welcomes basic and translational research articles in the field of urological diseases. The journal was launched in 2015 as the first companion title to the highly-regarded European Urology . It has since been joined by European Urology Oncology and European Urology Open Science . Besides original research articles and systematic reviews, which are the backbone of the journal, EU Focus publishes "Point of Focus" debates which cover controversial topics from a pro/con standpoint. The journal also publishes "Clinical Trial Updates" focusing on an ongoing trial, and the "Grey Zone", which sheds light on areas for which guideline recommendations are difficult to make, because of the absence of data. In addition, the "Clinical Consultation Guide" discusses hot topics from a clinician's point of view. The journal also includes "Mini-Reviews", which allow the summary of a certain topic in no more than 1000 words.
