European Journal of Trauma and Emergency Surgery (EJTES)
Journal Descriptions
Trauma results in individual patterns of injury and typically involves shock, fractures, soft tissue damage and organ injuries. Effective treatment therefore requires the joint effort of emergency medicine, orthopedic and trauma surgery, critical care medicine and rehabilitation. Scientific progress and in-depth experimental and clinical research within these disciplines contribute to the continuous advancement of trauma care. The European Journal of Trauma and Emergency Surgery aims to provide an interdisciplinary forum that allows for the scientific exchange between basic and clinical sciences related to pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of traumatized patients. The journal covers all aspects of clinical management, operative treatment and related research in the field of traumatic injuries. We primarily publish original research articles as well as clinical and experimental studies relevant to the improvement of trauma care. Reviews, systematic reviews, meta-analysis or literature reviews are considered by invitation only. The journal does not accept case reports or survey-based studies.
