Ethnologia Scandinavica publishes articles on material and social culture, as well as reviews, biographical notes and reports reflecting ethnological contributions and activities in the Nordic countries. The aim of Ethnologia Scandinavica is to reflect and develop the ethnological and folkloristic research field in the Nordic countries. As such, the journal has been, and continues to be, an important part of the Nordic ethnological research field and environment. Ethnologia Scandinavica publishes peer reviewed articles in English based on all ethnographical branches of material and social culture. In addition, reviews, biographical notes and reports reflect ethnological contributions and activities in the Nordic countries. The publication profile is ethnological and ethnographic. The journal welcomes traditional articles presenting investigations, cultural analyses and their results, and methodological and theoretical articles. The aim of the journal is to mirror what is going on in the Nordic ethnological research field as well as to be part of its development. Although Ethnologia Scandinavica collects articles, reviews and biographical notes from all Nordic countries, its impact is not restricted to these countries. The journal is read in the Nordic countries as well as in other parts of Europe and the rest of the world. It provides a clear vision of what is going on in the Nordic ethnographic, ethnological culture analytical research field. The aim of Ethnologia Scandinavica is to reflect and develop the ethnological and folkloristic research field in the Nordic countries. As such, the journal has been, and continues to be, an important part of the Nordic ethnological research field and environment.
