Ethiopian Journal of Crop Science (EJCS)

The Ethiopian Journal of Crop Science (EJCS) is published by the Crop Science Society of Ethiopia (CSSE). The society is a non-profit professional association established in 1987. It was inaugurated as a society in December 1991 with the objective of contributing towards the development of Ethiopian agriculture in general and the solving of crop production-related problems in particular through promoting effective research, documenting and disseminating scientific information, encouraging professional growth, and fostering interdisciplinary interactions and dialogues among crop scientists, policy makers and other governmental and non-governmental partners and stakeholders involved in the sector. Accordingly, the journal publishes research articles in the area of Crop breeding and genetics, crop biotechnology, Agronomy and physiology, Crop protection, Soil-Crop-Water related research results, Climate smart Agriculture in relation to crops, crop value chains and other crop related articles.EJCS publishes high-quality research articles, review papers, and short communications covering diverse areas of crop science such as agronomy, plant breeding, crop physiology, plant protection, soil fertility, seed systems, and agricultural biotechnology. The journal encourages interdisciplinary research that contributes to improving crop productivity, sustainability, and food security, particularly in Ethiopia and other developing countries.
