Esprit (Esprit)
Journal Descriptions
Founded in 1932 by Emmanuel Mounier, the magazine Esprit continues to guide its readers in the debates of the times, pursues its investigation of the democratic form of life and maintains its commitment to justice. A personalist from the outset, the magazine has participated in anti-colonial struggles, accompanied the experiment of the "second left" and led the anti-totalitarian fight. A wild university, it brings together those who seek to offer a broad public a critical insight into our modernity. Each issue consists of an editorial, a "multi-voice" journal on international political news, a thematic dossier, various articles, and reviews of cultural and editorial news. Independent, open to the world and committed to the community, the magazine is now co-directed by Antoine Garapon and Jean-Louis Schlegel.
