Journal Descriptions

Epigenetics publishes international research into heritable changes in gene expression caused by mechanisms other than the modification of the DNA sequence. The journal considers submissions that investigate how environmental factors via epigenetic mechanisms and how epigenetic mechanisms themselves can influence gene expression and diverse biological functions to exert their role in disease, aging, and developmental processes. This includes everything from research into epigenetic mechanisms (e.g., nucleosome positioning, DNA methylation, histone covalent modifications, non-coding RNAs, imprinting to chromatin remodelling complexes, and epigenetic RNA modifications-epitranscriptomics), and the role of epigenetics in life, health, and disease, including epigenetic therapy and diagnostics. Epigenetics, as a leading journal in the field, provides a platform for presenting and discussing cutting-edge epigentic research. The journal accepts the following types of articles: Epigenetics considers the following manusctipts for acceptance: Research Paper, Technical Paper, Brief Communication, Review, Point of View, Commentary, Editorial, and Letter to the Editor
