Environmental History (EH) is the world’s leading journal in environmental history and the journal of record in the field. Articles published in EH explore the changing relationships between humans and the environment over time. This interdisciplinary journal brings together insights from geography, anthropology, the natural sciences, science and technology studies, political ecology, and many other disciplines to inform historical scholarship. Environmental History was first published in 1996. It continued the following journals which previously published concurrently: Environmental Review (1976-1989), which was continued by the Environmental History Review (1990-1995); and Forest History Newsletter (1957-1974), which was continued by the Journal of Forest History (1974-1989) and Forest & Conservation History (1990-1995).
