Entreprises et histoire (EH)

Entreprises et Histoire, founded in 1991 and published from April 1992, has from the outset been produced in close collaboration between historians and management researchers. It is in regular contact with its foreign counterparts. Initially, it published 2 issues a year, then 3 and now 4. It is proud to have published some outstanding articles, including those by leading foreign and French authors, as well as landmark issues. Last but not least, the magazine is at the origin of the PPF Histoire de la pensée et des pratiques managériales, which has just been awarded for 4 years to 8 higher education establishments by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research. From the outset, the magazine has been bilingual French-English. From the outset, each issue has deliberately included at least one article by a foreign author. It publishes articles primarily by researchers in management and history. It also publishes contributions from economists (for example, in issue no. 45, December 2006, on sustainable development, by Olivier Godard, DR CNRS) and sociologists, both French and foreign. It also occasionally publishes articles by practitioners. Since 2003, it has been available in full text on the English-language ABI-ProQuest portal, and talks are underway to make it available on the French CAIRN portal as well. Its abstracts can be consulted online on the up-to-date Italian site Indici delle riviste in linea. They are only available up to 2000 on the site of the Centre de Recherches Historiques, which is currently being renovated and updated. The first two issues of Entreprises & Histoire were published in April 1992 and December 1992 by Editions ESKA. The project had been launched two years earlier by François Caron, Professor at the University of Paris IV, and Patrick Fridenson, Director of Studies at EHESS.
