The journal of the British Centre for Durkheimian Studies is concerned with all aspects of the work of Durkheim and his group, such as Marcel Mauss and Robert Hertz, and with the contemporary development and application of their ideas to issues in the social sciences, religion and philosophy. Durkheimian Studies/Études Durkheimiennes is the scientific journal of the British Centre for Durkheimian Studies. It is devoted to all aspects of the research work of Durkheim and his colleagues, including Marcel Mauss and Robert Hertz. It also looks at the development and contemporary application of their ideas to problems in the social sciences, religion and philosophy. It offers a unique access point to English translations of their works, which would otherwise be unavailable to English-speaking researchers.
