An organ of the Société Française d'Étude du Dix-Huitième Siècle, Dix-Huitième Siècle is a multi-disciplinary French-language journal, whose mission is to publish any study of the 18th century, regardless of geographical area, discipline or scientific school. Founded in 1969 and supported by the CNL, it is an international reference for 18th-century studies. It evaluates the proposals it receives (Dossiers, Varia) according to international peer-review standards. Founded in 1969, Dix-Huitième Siècle is an annual French-language multidisciplinary journal devoted to the 18th century , with no limits to geographical area, discipline, or scientific school. It is the organ of the French Society for the Study of the Eighteenth Century. Each year, the journal offers a volume of more than 700 pages including: a File on a specific theme; Varia and unpublished texts; a major interview with a personality who takes a unique look at the 18th century ; Reading notes on recently published works (up to 250 titles listed per issue). It publishes work from around the world, reviewed according to international double-blind peer review standards. The print journal is distributed by Vrin. It has been published online on CAIRN since 2005 with a number of open-access elements. Back issues (1969-2005) are freely accessible on Persée .
