Diritto dei trasporti (DDT)
Journal Descriptions
The journal Diritto dei trasporti , launched in 1987 by a group of scholars coordinated by Gabriele Pescatore and Gustavo Romanelli, accompanied the emergence and subsequent confident affirmation of the new field of transport law, which quickly joined the long-established field of navigation law. It is a quarterly scientific periodical that examines in depth the legal aspects of navigation and transport in their diverse manifestations, including private and public aspects, international and European relevance, traditional subject matter and new goals represented by pleasure craft, the automation of means of transport, the commercial use of outer space, and international trade. Initially directed by a Steering Committee and then for a long time by Leopoldo Tullio, the Institute, now almost forty years after its foundation, is now entrusted to a Board of Directors whose composition benefits from the contribution, in addition to the students of the latter, who has become Director Emeritus, of a scholar from another school also committed to the study and development of the subject. As a "tier A" journal in university rankings, it aims to be a fundamental point of reference for all those interested in the subject: university professors, magistrates, lawyers, scholars, and economic operators will find in it the updating and in-depth analysis they may need. The Journal has been based on the following sections since its first issue: "Essays," featuring papers of significant national and international scientific relevance; "Interventions," providing in-depth theoretical and practical analysis or commentary on current issues, as well as legislative and case law developments; and "Case Law Under Review," containing annotated commentary on the most important and innovative rulings by international, European, and national judges, as well as arbitrators, both on the merits and on the merits.
