Devenir (Devenir)
Journal Descriptions
This journal is the only European journal dedicated to early childhood development (from 0 to 3 years). It is at the crossroads of many disciplines: obstetrics, perinatal studies, reproductive rights, pediatrics, pediatric psychiatry, psychoanalysis, sociology and ethnology. Founded in 1989 by Serge Lebovici, Claude Geselson and Pierre-Yves Balavoine, Devenir is the only French-language European magazine devoted to the development of children aged 0-3. It lies at the crossroads of several disciplinary fields: developmental psychology, obstetrics, perinatal care, assisted reproduction, pediatrics, child psychiatry, sociology, ethnology, ethology... Devenir is aimed at all early childhood professionals: doctors, psychologists, child psychiatrists, midwives, nursery nurses, psychomotricians, administrative managers of institutions dedicated to early childhood. Devenir is published by Editions Médecine & Hygiène, an independent publisher based in Geneva. The magazine is not linked to any association or institution. As such, it publishes independent clinical research and thought-provoking contributions. Its criteria are essentially quality, originality and potential interest for a public of clinicians and researchers in French-speaking countries (France, Portugal, Switzerland, Belgium, Canada). Devenir is a HCERES-certified journal (Haut comité français d'évaluation de la recherche et de l'enseignement supérieur) and is referenced in the Scopus bibliometric database and the Psycinfo database. Devenir encourages the publication of articles in bilingual French and English. Pre-publication of the article in English on the Cairn international website is also possible.
