Journal Descriptions

Dermatologia Internationalis was a peer reviewed medical journal specializing in dermatology and tropical skin diseases. The journal served as an international platform for dermatologists, clinicians, and medical researchers interested in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of skin disorders across diverse populations and geographic regions. It was published under the auspices of the International Society of Tropical Dermatology and emphasized global perspectives in dermatological science. The journal published original research articles, clinical case studies, reviews, and reports related to dermatologic diseases, tropical infections affecting the skin, dermatopathology, pharmacological treatments, and emerging therapeutic approaches. It also focused on educational material for physicians and healthcare professionals involved in dermatologic practice and skin disease management. In 1970, the journal continued under the new title International Journal of Dermatology, which later became one of the leading international journals in the field of dermatology. Dermatologia Internationalis played an important historical role in expanding worldwide communication and scientific collaboration among dermatologists and tropical medicine specialists.
