The Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology (print ISSN: 0121-0483; digital ISSN: 2346-2108) is a publication of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the Externado de Colombia University, which has as its essential mission to promote the analysis and research of the diverse topics of criminal law, criminal procedural law, disciplinary law, sanctioning law in general and criminology in a critical, participatory context and absolutely respectful of freedom, equality, pluralism and diversity of thought. Since its creation in 1977, the journal Derecho Penal y Criminología has been published every six months. Its main purpose is to select and publish research papers by prominent authors in this field. These papers reflect their academic thinking and training at various national and international universities and research centers. Their contributions have earned widespread worldwide recognition on topics related to criminal law, criminal procedural law, disciplinary law, sanctioning law in general, and criminology.
