Dance Research (DR)

Dance Research, the journal of the Society for Dance Research, is a bi-annual internationally peer reviewed journal. It welcomes high quality original research articles on dance worldwide both historical and contemporary. The journal aims to engage with current debates on dance and across cognate disciplines with dance at the centre of inquiry. In addition, the journal publishes book reviews, notes on archives dedicated to dance, and selected translations into English of key material on dance. Dance Research Dance Research is the Society of Dance Research’s peer-reviewed journal, which is published twice a year by Edinburgh University Press and contains articles and book reviews reflecting the range of our members’ interests. It is edited and published in Britain with the assistance of a distinguished group of editorial consultants based in Europe and the USA. Dance Research is essential reading for those involved in the study and practice of dance. The journal provides an international forum for the presentation and discussion of contemporary dance research and contains a section of comprehensive book and journal reviews.
