Cubun is a scientific journal funded and published by Universidad de Boyacá in Colombia. It serves as a semi-annual platform for original, reflective, and review articles, as well as short communications and reviews of documents, focusing on the broader field of human and social communication. Distinctively, Cubun goes beyond instrumental communication to explore its deeper existential, linguistic, and cultural dimensions, aiming to foster knowledge and debate about the nature of human social existence through language and culture. The journal welcomes interdisciplinary works across the domains of public communication, communication and culture, communication for development, and organizational communication, aiming to highlight essential issues in social complexity from the core of language and cultural frameworks. Its editorial process features a rigorous double-blind peer review (external), with initial editorial screening followed by originality confirmation via Turnitin software. Referee feedback guides authors towards necessary revisions, ensuring contributions meet academic and scientific standards. Cubun is an annual serial publication funded by the University of Boyacá. It brings together reflections, debates, knowledge, and insights into communication, but viewed beyond artifacts, techniques, and instrumental procedures. It publishes essential content on human nature and social complexity, from the core of language and culture as the frameworks that constitute being and society.
