Critical Strategies: Psychotherapy in Managed Care was a peer-reviewed academic journal published in 2000 by Haworth Press. It focused on the evolving challenges faced by psychotherapists working within managed care systems in the United States. During the rise of managed behavioral healthcare, many clinicians faced restrictions related to cost control, treatment duration limits, insurance approval processes, and documentation requirements. This journal served as a platform to critically analyze these changes and propose adaptive strategies for maintaining effective psychotherapy under such constraints.
