Creativity Studies is an international peer-reviewed open-access journal that publishes research on creativity, creative societies, and creative industries from an interdisciplinary social science perspective. The journal focuses on how creativity operates in cultural, social, political, and communication contexts, and how it influences innovation, knowledge production, and societal development. It welcomes original research articles, theoretical papers, case studies, and review articles that explore creativity in areas such as sociology, political science, communication, history, philosophy, and cultural studies. The journal also emphasizes studies on creative economies, cultural policy, media communication, and social transformation through creative processes. Established in 2014 in its current form, Creativity Studies is published by Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH), Lithuania. It follows a double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic quality and fairness. The journal became fully open access in 2018 and operates under a Creative Commons (CC BY) license, allowing free global access to its content.
