Construction Innovation (CI) is an international journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research papers that promote innovation throughout the lifecycle of the built environment covering the phases of design, construction, use and redevelopment. The research reported may be at built asset, cities or community level presenting innovations in digitalisation, industrialisation, sustainability and resilience. The journal specifically focuses on papers that clearly demonstrate significant novelty in managerial and technological innovations and the implementation of such innovations in the construction industry and built environment. Submissions to the journal are considered under the following themes: Digitalisation: innovative applications of digital technologies and process improvements related to construction sector and built environment are considered under this theme. These also include research related to enhancing digitalisation in construction enterprises and the sector as a whole. Industrialisation: Research related to prefabrication, off site construction, and modern methods of contrition are considered under this theme. These also include work related to industrial processes and production techniques related to construction. Sustainability: All research that contributes to enhancing sustainability in construction and the built environment are considered under this theme. These could include aspects that improve circular economy and nature-based construction to sustainability assessment and management techniques. Resilience: Research that shows innovations in enhancing environmental, social and economic resilience of construction enterprises and sectors are considered under this category. These include aspects of health and safety, innovative applications of technologies and process improvements to enhance resilience in construction.
