Communio (Communio)

Communio, an international catholic review, address a topic integral to the dialogue between faith and contemporary culture. Not bound to any individual editor, movement, or congregation, the review brings laity and clergy, men and women, theologians and academics of all disciplines together for this task, in collaboration with the other Communio editorial teams located in thirteen different countries. The international Catholic magazine Communio, founded in 1974 at the instigation of Hans Urs von Balthasar. In each issue, leading specialists tackle a theme essential to the dialogue between faith and contemporary culture. Independent of any publisher, movement or congregation, the magazine brings together laypeople and clerics, men and women, theologians and academics from all disciplines, in collaboration with the other Communio editorial teams in thirteen different countries. In this task, Communio would like to be faithful to the words of Hans Urs von Balthasar: "it is not a question of showing bravery, but of always having the courage to expose oneself". For almost 50 years, the articles we have collected have constituted both an encyclopedia of Christianity and a major contribution to today's intellectual debate.
