The College Language Association Journal (ISSN 0007-8549) is a multilingual, peer-reviewed, and bi-annual publication. It is issued in both March and September of each year. It is committed to offering critical perspectives and new developments in the analysis of language, literature, as well as cultural studies. CLAJ publishes critical essays, interviews, and book reviews. Established in 1957, CLAJ is a multilingual, international publication that fosters socially engaged, innovative, and groundbreaking scholarship in language, literature, linguistics, and pedagogy cultivated by the diverse international membership of CLA. Articles treating the languages and literatures of all nations will be deemed worthy of careful consideration for publication. In keeping with its desire to develop the study of the languages and literatures of Africa and its global diaspora as an important area of scholarship, CLAJ is committed to offering critical perspectives and new developments in the analysis of language, literature, and cultural studies representative of the diverse scholarly interests of its members while privileging the African diaspora and transcultural black identities. Throughout the years, the members of the College Language Association have produced stellar scholarship on a range of important topics related to our core mission. Eager to share that work with the community and the larger world, we now have available three open access issues of CLAJ--the official journal of the College Language Association--so that you can familiarize yourself with the exciting scholarship that CLA members produce and consider submitting your own work to this prestigious journal.
