Cliopsy (Cliopsy)
Journal Descriptions
Cliopsy is a peer-reviewed scientific journal recognized by national evaluation bodies. Founded in 2009 by academics in the educational sciences, it structures psychoanalytically-oriented clinical research in this field within an international network. It is part of the long history of links between education and psychoanalysis: from the very birth of psychoanalysis, educators have been implementing and theorizing educational practices that take into account the unconscious dimensions of the subject, and developing a psychoanalytic pedagogy aimed at resolving children's difficulties at school, by considering the infantile roots of education. With the creation of the "Sciences de l'éducation" discipline, teachers and researchers have contributed to the evolution of this link towards a psychoanalysis-based approach to knowledge production, focusing on individual and group unconscious processes and recognizing the researcher's subjectivity in the elaboration of knowledge. A forum for debate between Freudian and post-Freudian contributions, Cliopsy brings to the fore the major issues facing education and training today. Cliopsy is published twice a year, with thematic issues and varias. It includes research articles, reflective contributions on professional practices, interviews with key figures, translations of unpublished or unavailable texts, with commentary, and book reviews. The editorial board writes the argument for each issue. It is available on the journal's website https://www.revuecliopsy.fr/ several months before the articles are due to be received. As a scientific journal, Cliopsy relies on double peer review. Articles submitted to the journal are anonymized before being submitted for peer review.
