Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion was founded in 1981, administered by China Association for Science and Technology and co-sponsored by China Association of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, and Institute of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. The Chief Editor of Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion is Liu Baoyan, who is the Present of World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies. The journal has always been adhering to “improvement, popularity, enriched content and practicality”, and reports acupuncture-moxibustion research and clinical experiences, researches on meridians and acupoints, mechanism exploration, theoretic study, training and teaching, and literature researches in China and other countries. Awards and funding: Awarded as “100 Outstanding Academic Journals of China” and “RCCSE Academic Journals (A+)” for many times, “Outstanding S & T Journals of China” for consecutive five times, and “The Excellent International Impact Academic Journal of China” for 11 consecutive years. In 2024, it was awarded the title of "China's Most Influential Academic Journal Internationally" .Funded by “Publishing Capacity Enhancement Project of National Association Journals” for 2 consecutive years.In 2024, it also secured funding from the Association's "China Sci-Tech Journal Excellence Action Plan".
