China and the World (CTW)
Journal Descriptions
China plays a significant role in the global landscape, both as an economic powerhouse and as a major player in international politics. Over the years, China's economic growth has dramatically changed the world’s trade dynamics, making it one of the largest economies in the world. This has resulted in China becoming a key member of various global institutions like the United Nations, the World Trade Organization (WTO), and the G20. China's Belt and Road Initiative, aimed at enhancing global trade and infrastructure development, has further strengthened its influence across Asia, Africa, and Europe. However, China's growing influence has also led to some tensions with other major powers, particularly regarding trade practices, territorial disputes in the South China Sea, and issues surrounding human rights.
