Launched in 1922, this scholarly, peer-reviewed journal keeps readers abreast of the special problems facing millions of children, families, parents, caregivers, and the child welfare professionals who serve them. Child Welfare links the latest findings in child welfare and related research with the best practice, policy, and program development into one innovative resource equally indispensable to child welfare and associated professionals. Child Welfare is published every other month. Typically, two of the six issues published per year focus on specific topics; submissions for these issues are largely by invitation of the special issue editor(s).
