Career Development and Transition for Exceptional Individuals is a peer-reviewed academic journal that focuses on improving career development, employment, and adult transition outcomes for individuals with disabilities and other exceptional learning needs. Established in 1978, the journal serves as a leading scholarly outlet for research and evidence-based practices addressing the transition from school to postsecondary education, employment, and independent adult life. The journal publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, conceptual papers, and practice-oriented studies that explore topics such as career readiness, vocational assessment, supported employment, transition services, workforce participation, self-determination, independent living, and policy implications.
