Carcinogenesis: Integrative Cancer Research is a multi-disciplinary journal that brings together all the varied aspects of research that will ultimately lead to the prevention and effective treatment of human cancer. The journal publishes papers that warrant prompt publication in the areas of: 1) Cancer Prevention, Epidemiology and Molecular Epidemiology, including population-based research on cancer etiology, prevention, surveillance and early detection, diagnostic biomarkers, chemoprevention, nutrition and cancer, environment and cancer, genetic predisposition to cancer, and cancer health disparities. 2) Inflammation, Tumor Microenvironment and Cancer Immunology, including host-tumor interactions, antitumor immunity, tumor-promoting inflammation, cancer antigens, vaccines, immunotherapy, and immunomodulatory effects of cancer treatment. 3) Carcinogenesis, Genetics and Epigenetics, including the basic mechanisms of carcinogenesis, oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes, metabolism, genomic instability, DNA mutations, DNA repair, and epigenetics. 4) Translational Cancer Research, including studies that bridge the laboratory and the clinic, mechanisms of drug sensitivity and resistance, large-scale molecular characterization of human tumors, prognostic biomarkers, cancer mouse models, preclinical studies, innovative imaging, radiation therapy, novel therapeutic targets and cancer drugs, and tumor monitoring including detection of minimal disease.
