Journal Descriptions

The Canadian Journal of Public Health is the official scholarly journal of the Canadian Public Health Association and one of the oldest continuously published public health journals in the world. It serves as a leading forum for the dissemination of peer reviewed research, policy analysis, and practice based evidence relevant to population and public health in Canada and globally. The journal emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches and encourages submissions that integrate epidemiology, biostatistics, health promotion, social and behavioral sciences, environmental health, and health services research. CJPH also highlights Indigenous health, health equity, social determinants of health, and the translation of research into policy and practice. In addition to original research articles, the journal publishes commentaries, debates, and reviews that inform public health decision making and professional development. Its audience includes researchers, practitioners, policy makers, and educators working in public health and preventive medicine. By bridging science and practice, CJPH aims to support evidence informed public health action and strengthen population health outcomes.
