Canadian Journal of Information and Library Science (CJILS)

Established in 1976 the Canadian Journal of Information and Library Science (CJILS) is a diamond open access (no fees for readers or authors), refereed, and bilingual (English and French) scholarly journal published twice a year by the Canadian Association for Information Science (CAIS). The journal is recognized internationally for its authoritative bilingual contributions to library and information science research and aims to advance and provides a forum for theory, research, and discussion on all topics of interest to the field. We encourage submissions from students, early career professionals, practitioners, and other groups, and covering a broad range of perspectives and disciplines to ensure rich and inclusive discourse. The Canadian Journal of Information and Library Science (CJILS/RCSIB) is an open access, refereed, scholarly periodical published three times per year by Western Libraries, University of Western Ontario on behalf of the Canadian Association for Information Science. Established in 1976, the journal is recognized internationally for its authoritative bilingual contributions to library and information science research. The editorial policy of the journal is to continue the advancement of library and information science in both English and French in Canada by serving as a forum for discussion of theory and research. This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or their institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
