Cahiers Élisabéthains (CE)

Cahiers Élisabéthains is an international, peer‑reviewed scholarly journal founded in 1972 that serves as a central forum for research in English Renaissance literature and culture, with particular emphasis on the Elizabethan period and its literary and dramatic expressions. The journal’s scope embraces a broad interpretation of Renaissance studies: while the literature and drama of the Elizabethan era remain at the heart of its mission, its contributors also explore works from earlier and later periods of the English tradition, interpretive contexts, performance history, and the enduring influence of Renaissance texts.
