The journal "Bulgarian Cardiology" was first published in 1995 as a scientific organ of the Society of Cardiologists in Bulgaria. It is published jointly by the Society of Cardiologists in Bulgaria and Pensoft Publishing House . The first editor-in-chief - from 1995 to 1996 - of the journal was Prof. T. Daskalov. Subsequent editors-in-chief were: Prof. N. Gocheva (1996 to 2002), Prof. R. Tarnovska (2003-2008), Prof. D. Raev (2008-2014), Prof. Pl. Gatsov (from 2014-2020), Prof. N. Gocheva (from 2021). Since the beginning of its publication, the journal has been an important forum for the cardiology community in Bulgaria. Its pages feature both the scientific achievements of Bulgarian medical specialists and important practical guides of the European Society of Cardiology and other scientific publications. The high quality of the scientific output that finds its place on the pages of the journal is our main goal.
