Journal Descriptions
The British Journal of Pharmacology is a biomedical science journal giving leading international coverage of all aspects of experimental and translational pharmacology. The journal publishes high-quality original research, authoritative reviews, mini reviews, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, databases, letters to the Editor and commentaries. Review articles, databases, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses are normally commissioned, but consideration will be given to unsolicited contributions. These papers can be standalone or part of a themed issue. BJP also publishes the Concise Guide to Pharmacology, which is a snapshot in time of the BPS/IUPHAR Guide to Pharmacology database and published biennially. Commentaries are invited by the Editor-in-Chief and the Senior Editors on articles published in the journal. Letters to the Editor are acceptable where they are a comment on a paper recently published in the journal and relate to current issues pertinent to the field of pharmacology.
