British Journal for the History of Mathematics is a peer-reviewed international journal in the history of mathematics. It is the Official Journal of the British Society for the History of Mathematics (BSHM), whose aims are to promote research into the history of mathematics and to encourage its use at all levels of mathematics education. British Journal for the History of Mathematics publishes original articles and reviews across the whole chronological range of the history of mathematics, with a particular focus on history of mathematics as social and cultural history. British Journal for the History of Mathematics is happy to receive short communications of around 1,000 words reporting on items of research that fall below the scope of a full-length article. Any queries should be addressed to the Editor. Proposals for special issues are encouraged, and should be discussed with the Editor.
