Brill Research Perspectives in International Legal Theory and Practice (BRPILTP)
Journal Descriptions
As of 2021, Brill Research Perspectives in International Legal Theory and Practice is no longer published as a journal by Brill, but will continue as a book series. Brill Research Perspectives in International Legal Theory and Practice is a book series that offers short monographs conceptualizing recent developments and fundamental trends in the field and discipline of international law. It encourages cutting-edge scholarship from leading scholars. In an undertaking that bridges international legal theory, the discipline’s culture, and international legal history, the series critically examines the emergence and evolution of international legal practices, as well as the intellectual legal projects and theories that have shaped and continue to shape international law and its discipline. Brill Research Perspectives in International Legal Theory and Practice allows us to understand the dynamics that are at play in international law and to reclaim its history whilst, most importantly, encouraging international lawyers to reimagine and rethink its possibilities. Although the series is intended primarily for researchers, lecturers, practitioners, and graduate students, its wide-ranging and critical engagement with international law makes it a highly interesting read for a broader audience as well.
